Remindly is a light, fast notes app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web. Here's the whole list, grouped by what you're trying to get done, with a guide for anything that has steps.
Features marked Pro are part of Remindly Pro. Everything else is on every plan, Free included. Compare the plans.
The thought turns up mid-meeting, on a walk, or halfway down an article. Each of these gets it into Remindly in a few seconds, without picking a notebook or opening the app first.
Press ⌃⌥N in any app, type the thought and press ⌘↩ to save it, or Esc to put it away with the draft kept for next time.
Remindly's icon in the menu bar opens a new note, your recent notes or Sync Now, even with the app's window closed.
Say “Add a note in Remindly” and dictate, or run Add Note from Spotlight or the Action button, and it's saved without opening the app.
Build your own shortcuts with Remindly's actions to create notes, add to them, find them, tag them and move them.
Start one from the Action button, Control Center, Siri or ⌥⌘N, and what you say becomes the note's text on your device, with the recording kept only if you turn that on.
Put a New Note button on your Lock Screen or in Control Center, and one press opens a blank note.
Share an article from Safari to save a clean copy of the page as a note, with any text you'd highlighted quoted at the top.
The Remindly Web Clipper saves the article, your selection or just the link, with the notebook and tags you pick, from its button or Alt+Shift+R.
Turn on bookmarks bar sync in the Web Clipper, and each link in the bar becomes a note, with its folders as tags, kept up to date as you bookmark.
Scan receipts, letters and handouts with the camera, and the pages become one PDF whose text is read on your device, so search finds it.
Forward a receipt or a booking to your own private address (it's in Settings) and it becomes a note, with later mail about the same order added to it.
Choose a folder in Settings, and anything you drop in it while Remindly is running becomes a note, from Markdown and text files to PDFs and images.
Connect Granola once and your meeting notes arrive in a Meetings notebook on their own, with action items as checkboxes.
Connect Google Calendar and each meeting gets a + Note button that starts a note with its time, join link and agenda, the same note Granola fills in later.
The warranty you need in March, the address from last spring, one meeting out of a hundred. Add as much structure as suits you, and search covers the rest, down to the words in a photo.
Group notes into notebooks, and put notebooks inside one another when one gets crowded.
Tag any note, nest tags with a slash like home/kitchen, and narrow a search with tag:.
Type [[ to link to another note by its title, or to make a new one on the spot.
The apps read the words in the photos, scans and PDFs you add, on your own device, not on a server, and search finds them in the apps, on the web and in Claude and ChatGPT.
Your notes show up when you search with Spotlight, and choosing one opens it in Remindly.
Some notes belong to a day: the dentist on Thursday, the deposit due Friday, the rent at the end of the month. Give the note a time and Remindly brings it back.
Give a note a time, and your iPhone, iPad and Mac show a notification you can mark done or snooze for an hour without opening the app.
Write “Call Bob Friday 3pm” in Quick Capture or in Add Note with Siri, and the note comes with a reminder for Friday at 3 PM.
Type “Pay rent Friday” on a checklist item and it gets a due date of its own, kept as plain text that survives an export.
The Reminders list sorts what's overdue, due today and coming up, and the Calendar shows the same by month or as an agenda.
Turn on Email me each morning in Settings to get what's due that day at the hour you choose, even when you're away from your devices.
Most notes are for you alone, but now and then a packing list or a set of directions has to reach someone else. Share exactly that note, and keep everything else behind Face ID or a passphrase.
Share one note by a link that anyone can open, only the people you invite by email, or anyone with the password. Let them read it or edit it, like a shared shopping list, and stop sharing whenever you like.
Have Remindly ask for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode before it shows your notes, turned on separately on each device.
Lock a note, or a whole notebook, with a passphrase only you know, so Remindly's servers hold text they can't read.
Your notes are never sold, used for ads or used to train AI, and the text in your photos is recognized on your device.
Ask Claude or ChatGPT what you wrote about the kitchen reno, or have it save the plan you just made as a note with a reminder on it.
Once you connect Remindly, Claude or ChatGPT can search and read your notes, write new ones or add to them, and set reminders.
Add Remindly from Claude's connectors directory, or in ChatGPT with the server address from the guide, and sign in once.
They can't delete a note for good or open a locked one, and you can take the access back any time in Settings → Integrations.
Your notes live on your iPhone, iPad and Mac first, which is why they open instantly and work on a plane. They're stored as Markdown, so taking them with you, or bringing years of notes in, is one menu away.
Every note is kept on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, so opening one or typing never waits for a server.
Read, write and search with no connection, and your changes sync when you're back online.
Change the same note on two devices and Remindly merges the edits where it can, instead of handing you two copies.
Export every note as a .md file, one folder per notebook, with attachments alongside and links between notes still working.
Bring in Evernote .enex exports with dates, tags, checklists, attachments and reminders, and links between notes reconnected where they match.
Notes and notebooks are unlimited on every plan, Free included.
Sign in with one account on each of them, and your notes stay in step between your iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web.

The native app, with Quick Capture on ⌃⌥N, the menu bar item, Evernote import and Markdown export.
Read and write your notes in a browser on any computer; the web app needs a connection, because it doesn't keep notes on the computer.
Install the web app from Edge or Chrome and it opens in its own window, with a place in the Start menu and on the taskbar.
