Install it
-
In Edge or Chrome, go to remindly.com and sign in.
Your notes open in Remindly on the web.
-
Install it from your browser.
Each browser puts it in a slightly different place.
Microsoft Edge
Select ⋯ (Settings and more) at the top right, then . Select Install to confirm.
Google Chrome
Select the install icon at the right end of the address bar, then Install. You'll also find Install Remindly in the ⋮ menu.
Or install it from Remindly. Open Settings in the sidebar. Once your browser is ready to install, the Install Remindly card has an Install App button.
Open it like any app
Remindly opens in its own window, without tabs or an address bar, and Windows lists it with your other apps.
- From the Start menu. Find Remindly in your apps, or type its name in Search.
- From the taskbar. While Remindly is open, right-click its icon on the taskbar and choose Pin to taskbar.
- Staying signed in. If it asks you to sign in, Keep me signed in for 30 days is already ticked. Untick it on a shared computer.
- Updates come by themselves. When there's a new version, Remindly says so and offers Reload.
What to expect
This is Remindly on the web in a window of its own, not a separate Windows program. Your notes stay in your Remindly account, not on the PC, so a few things work differently from the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps.
- It needs a connection. If yours drops while you're writing, the note shows Not saved — offline. Remindly keeps trying while the window is open, so leave it open until the note says Saved.
- Some things are on the Mac only. Quick Capture from any app and importing from Evernote need Remindly for Mac.
- Save web pages from Chrome with the Remindly Web Clipper: on Windows the shortcut is Alt+Shift+R. See how.
